My work is inspired by moments of intensity that catch my attention in my everyday life.
I have for as long as I can remember closely observed people, their faces, bodies and relationships. I often catch myself observing details of a hand or a face rather than listening to what is being said. My images portray the result of what I see and feel around me.
I work in a multitude of techniques but have lately focused on oil painting and Indian ink.
I’m trained in fine arts at The Art Student’s League in New York, Folkuniversitetets foundation course in Lund, Sweden and a year-long teacher led artist development course in Malmö, along with a great number of short courses in various different techniques, including clay live modelling, an apprenticeship in free sculpture with concrete, iconology, linoleum graphics, croqui etcetera.
I have exhibited in the following places so far (Sweden):
